SUMMARY:Multi Species Grazing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Greenacres Foundation at Michaela Farm for a beginner-level workshop on multi species rotational grazing. This program is designed for farmers\, landowners\, and producers interested in integrating cattle\, sheep\, and poultry into a multi species grazing system. Learn from experienced practitioners through a combination of classroom instruction and an interactive pasture walk. Topics will include grazing management\, fencing\, watering systems\, and infrastructure considerations\, led by Greenacres Livestock staff with support from the Indiana Conservation Partnership. During the pasture walk\, attendees will observe cattle\, sheep\, and laying hens rotationally grazed together and discuss practical strategies for implementation on working farms. This workshop is geared toward adults\, though young adults and older teens may attend. Lunch is included with registration.All tickets include lunch.
